Printing a document just to sign it, scan it, and email it back is one of those small frictions that adds up. PDFtone's Sign tool lets you add a signature directly to a PDF in your browser, with nothing to print or scan.
From the workspace toolbar, choose Signature and you'll see two options:
Once you've created a signature, it's added to the page as an image you can drag into position. Use the resize handle in the corner to make it bigger or smaller, and repeat the process if you need your signature on multiple pages — for example, initialing each page of a contract plus a full signature on the last.
PDFtone's Sign tool draws a signature image onto the page — it's a quick way to visually sign a document, similar to printing, signing, and scanning, but faster. It doesn't apply a cryptographic digital signature or certificate. For documents that specifically require a certified digital signature (some legal, government, or financial forms), check what your signing requirements are before relying on this for that purpose.
For everyday paperwork — agreements, forms, sign-off sheets — it's a quick way to get a document signed and back in someone's inbox without leaving your browser.
